Kyle and Christine DenOuden founded Hickory Homes in 2007. Kyle, a civil engineering technologist, and Christine, an accredited interior designer, make up the core of Hickory Homes.
Kyle grew up in the building industry and has been building houses since he could pick up a hammer. After graduating he worked for a large Civil Engineering firm in Richmond Hill before moved back to the area. He worked for several commercial design/build companies in the Quinte area before he and Christine made the decision to start Hickory Homes.
Christine graduated from the Interior Design program at Sheridan in Oakville and worked for an interior design firm in Toronto before she and Kyle moved back to Prince Edward County (her hometown). She worked in the Quinte area doing kitchen and cabinetry design as well as freelance interior design projects before starting full time at Hickory Homes. Christine brings her expertise and advice to every project to ensure each home is unique and customized to your style.
