The County Workshop's owner Elmer Bentley always wanted to be involved in the construction industry, so when health prevented him from doing the actual physical construction, he went back to college to be trained in architectural design. After establishing The County Workshop in 2003, Mr. Bentley began doing architectural design drawings for permit applications, new homes, additions, decks, garages, gazebos as well as commercial buildings, renovations and new construction. While located in Prince Edward County, The County Workshop has done projects north beyond Bancroft, west to Toronto, and east to Ottawa.
